I just want to thank everyone for their nice comments in the guest book. Yes, the Geek Squad can be scary, and a bit intimidating. I mean, come on, when you know you’re meeting a bunch of geeks, you get a little cautious, but when you start to learn the list of college degrees and life experiences this particular geek squad has under their belts, you start thinking “Please don’t let them discuss quantum physics as idle dinner chat…”
And as for the allegations that we stole the website design from www.ourbutterflywedding.com I just have one thing to say.
Keith did it!
(points her finger excitedly at her wonderful fiance) All I have access to is posting in the blog and guestbook!
And now for an update on the wedding stuff:
All of the invitations have been sent to out of town guests and many of the in town guests, so everyone should be getting theirs soon, if they haven’t already. Please note the RSVP date on the cards and let us know by then if you can attend. I wouldn’t have a problem waiting longer, but for some reason the caterer wants to know how many people to plan to feed. Silly, I know.
Our space is limited, the wedding hall only seats 80 and the reception area only seats 100, so we do have to ask that ‘extra’ people please not be added unless you check with us first. In most cases, it shouldn’t be a problem, but please check with us first. We appreciate it.
Getting excited, and can’t wait to see you all!
Just to be nitpicky:
As a charter member of this so-called “Geek Squad”, I can reliably say that we won’t EVER discuss quantum physics as idle dinner chat. Quantum physics as it applies to light sabers and/or spell components for Fireball maybe, but even then we’d wait until we were all quite active at the dinnertable, throwing pizza toppings at one another and in general acting like a bunch of full-grown men.
Just so long as we’re all on the same page here…
Just as a side note to everyone, Justin isn’t just a charter member of the ‘Geek Squad’ – he is the reigning Alpha Geek.
Also, I had permission from Justin to rip off their website – as long as I didn’t jut totally duplicate it.
AND I have asked my wonderful bride to be if there is anything that she wants to have on the website, or if there is any content she would want changed, she has not accepted my offer to date. 😛
