Okay, I have been meaning/trying to write this blog entry for about four days now. Originally I wanted to wanted to post this on Saturday night, but life got away from me.
Most of you reading the title probably think that I mean panicking about getting married, that is not the case. The panic part comes from the perspective of ‘Is everything ready?’ Questions have been popping in my mind, most easily answerable but at the time of asking the answer is not known. Questions like who is going to put the favor boxes on the tables? The Grand Victorian will do that for us. Did all the groomsmen get measured for their tuxes? Yes, they have. There are other questions that I can’t remember right off right now that I have had also (which is the primary reason that this blog is so late, because I wanted to try to think of those questions again – alas no luck). But all that doesn’t really matter. What matters is that we are getting married and we are going to share our day with a bunch of friends.
I have a good friend who is a photographer, who has done numerous weddings, and she remarked “Will something go wrong? There’s a good chance. All you can do is go with the flow and ten years from now you will look back and laugh about it.” So, I’m taking that advice to heart and I’m focusing my attention what I really need to do – and that is pretty much ‘show up and get married.’ 🙂 We’ve done what we can to try and make sure the those that attend enjoy themselves, it will be a good day!
